We expect that there may be some small differences between the data in your SIS and EveryDay Pro. Here are some of the common reasons for those differences:
- Differences in the time frame included in the data. Often, district systems are up to date at any point in time, so if you look at the attendance rate or chronic absence rate at 2pm today, it will show you the rate as of 2pm today. Because we only receive data once per day, the rates shown in Pro will only be accurate as of yesterday.
- Retroactive corrections outside of our re-calculation period. We don't completely wipe and re-calculate all metrics each night, but rather we look for changes within a certain time period (about 2 months) and then refresh the metrics with that new data. That means that if you made a change now to attendance information from September, it would not get updated in EveryDay Pro. However, we can do a complete refresh upon request if you think the district is likely to have a number of corrections being made throughout the year. If you would like to request this refresh, message us in the chat or email pro-support@everydaylabs.com.
- Slight differences in the students being included in the rates. Sometimes a few students may be excluded from the data export for one reason or another, or may be exported with missing data that results in them being dropped upon data import. This can result in slight differences in the students being included in the EveryDay Pro metrics compared to the district metrics (i.e. Pro has a subset of students and the district systems have the full student population).
If you have additional concerns about incorrect data, reach out to us via chat or pro-support@everydaylabs.com.
