You may identify a medical barrier to attendance for a specific student or see a trend across your school that requires systemic adjustments to medical supports provided on campus. Here are a few ways schools have improved attendance by addressing underlying barriers related to student health:

  • Hand-washing/sanitizing initiatives for students and staff

  • Improving ventilation within classrooms

  • Providing flu shots on campus

  • Creating a plan to support students with Asthma

  • Providing school-based Health Services

  • Telehealth
